Hector de Jesus Ruiz is a founder of Bull Ventures, LLC. and serves as the company's Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Hector de J. Ruiz is an accomplished engineer, corporate strategist and chief executive. A luminary in the field of technology for nearly three decades, Dr. Ruiz has helped build and guide top-tier global technology companies while also promoting interest in understanding technology's ability to address social issues. Dr. Ruiz currently advises individuals, corporations and governments worldwide on technology initiatives and on bringing these strategies to fruition. Dr. Ruiz attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in electrical engineering in 1968 and 1970, respectively. He then completed a doctoral degree at Rice University in 1973.
Dr. Ruiz's distinguished professional career began at Texas Instruments in the company's research laboratories and manufacturing operations. He went on to Motorola, where throughout two decades of service he rose from running a microchip manufacturing facility in Scotland, to overseeing the firm's worldwide semiconductor operations, to leading semiconductor research and development, to becoming President of Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector.
